RESOLUTION

Terminate the operation of the National Assembly Television to
transfer the functions and tasks from the National Assembly Television
to Vietnam Television

THE STANDING COMMITTEE OF THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY

On the basis of the Constitution of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam;

Pursuant to the Law on the Organization of the National Assembly No. 57/2014/QH13 amended and supplemented by some articles according to Law No. 65/2020/QH14;

Pursuant to the Working Regulations of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly issued together with Resolution No. 29/2022/UBTVQH15 dated December 12, 2022;

Pursuant to Resolution No. 22/2022/UBTVQH15 dated July 12, 2022 of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly on the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the National Assembly Office;

Pursuant to Conclusion No. 111-KL/TW dated January 7, 2025 of the Politburo on the merger, termination of operations, and transfer of functions and tasks of certain agencies of the National Assembly, agencies under the Standing Committee of the National Assembly, and the National Assembly Office;

Considering the proposal of the National Assembly Office at Proposal No. 3288/TTr-VPQH dated December 29, 2024 regarding the issuance of Resolutions of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly on terminating the operation of the National Assembly Television and on the treatment policies for officials, civil servants, public employees, and contractual workers of the Legislative Research Institute and the National Assembly Television; Report No. 48/BC-VPQH dated January 7, 2025 on the consolidation, explanation, and adoption of opinions of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly on the issuance of the Resolutions;

RESOLUTION:

Article 1.

1. Terminate the operation of the National Assembly Television from January 15, 2025 to transfer the functions and tasks from the National Assembly Television to Vietnam Television.

2. The National Assembly Office continues to maintain the operation of the National Assembly Electronic Information Portal (The National Assembly Electronic Information Portal is an entity established by the National Assembly Office prior to receiving the National Assembly Television Channel, subsequently managed and tasked by the National Assembly Television).

Article 2.

1. The National Assembly Office and Vietnam Television shall review, study, unify, and report to the competent authority to hand over the functions, tasks, physical assets, and personnel from the National Assembly Television to Vietnam Television.

2. The National Assembly Office shall take the lead and coordinate with the Permanent Delegation of the Ethnic Council, Committees of the National Assembly, and Heads of Departments under the Standing Committee of the National Assembly to continue to arrange and resolve the treatment policies for staff of the National Assembly Television (those not transferred to Vietnam Television) in accordance with regulations.

Article 3.

This Decision takes effect from the date of its adoption.

This Resolution was adopted by the Standing Committee of the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Session No. 41, on January 7, 2025.
