Regarding amendments and supplements to certain Articles of Decision No. 234/2005/QĐ-TTg dated September 26, 2005 of the Government on special regimes for workers, staff, and officials in certain industries and occupations in state-owned enterprises Amending and supplementing certain provisions of Decision No. 234/2005/QĐ-TTg dated September 26, 2005 of the Government on special regimes for workers, staff, and officials in certain industries and occupations in state-owned enterprises as follows: 1. Adjusting the daily meal allowance calculated in monetary terms based on actual working days as stipulated in Clause 1 of Article 1 as follows:

PRIME MINISTER
Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;
Pursuant to Decree No. 205/2004/NĐ-CP dated December 14, 2004 of the Government stipulating the wage scale and wage system and the allowance regime in state-owned enterprises;
Considering the proposal of the Minister of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs,
DECISION:
Article 1. a) Level 1: from VND 32,000/day to VND 50,000/day;
b) Level 2: from VND 37,000/day to VND 60,000/day;
c) Level 3: from VND 45,000/day to VND 70,000/day;
d) Level 4: from VND 80,000/day (equivalent to US$5/day) to VND 110,000/day;
e) Level 5: from VND 110,000/day (equivalent to US$7/day) to VND 150,000/day.
2. Amending the provision: "When the food price index published by the General Statistics Office increases by 10% or more compared to the last adjustment, the daily meal allowance will be adjusted accordingly" stipulated after Point d Clause 1 of Article 1 of Decision No. 234/2005/QĐ-TTg dated September 26, 2005 as follows:
"When the food price index published by the General Statistics Office increases by 10% or more compared to the last adjustment, the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs shall take the lead, in coordination with the Ministry of Finance, to guide the adjustment of the daily meal allowance according to this Clause not exceeding the increase in the food price index."
3. Adjusting the sea duty allowance applicable to workers, staff, and officials in the oil industry stipulated in Clause 4 of Article 1 of Decision No. 234/2005/QĐ-TTg dated September 26, 2005 from VND 110,000/day (equivalent to US$7/day) to VND 150,000/day.
The Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs shall take the lead, in coordination with the Ministry of Finance, to guide the implementation of this Decision.
This Decision takes effect 15 days after its publication in the Official Gazette.
Article 2. The Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs shall take the lead and coordinate with the Ministry of Finance to guide the implementation of this Decision.
Article 3. This Decision shall take effect fifteen days after its publication in the Official Gazette.
Article 4. The Ministers, Heads of ministerial-level agencies, Heads of government agencies, Chairpersons of provincial People's Committees under the direct jurisdiction of the central government shall be responsible for implementing this Decision./.
