Decision No. 75/2003/QD-BNN of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development issues the industry standard for industrial salt (NaCl), specifying technical requirements, classification, testing methods, packaging, labeling, transportation, and storage. The Decision takes effect fifteen days after its publication in the Official Gazette.

要点

  • The industry standard for industrial salt (NaCl) applies to products used as raw materials for industrial production and is classified into three grades: Superior grade, Grade 1, and Grade 2.
  • The NaCl content must not be less than 98% by weight of dry matter in the Superior grade, 96.50% in Grade 1, and 95% in Grade 2.
  • The moisture content must not exceed 5%, 6%, and 8% respectively for the Superior grade, Grade 1, and Grade 2.
  • The insoluble matter content in water must not exceed 0.25%, 0.30%, and 0.50% respectively for the Superior grade, Grade 1, and Grade 2.
  • Testing methods follow TCVN 3973 - 84; packaging may be loose or in bags, with labeling as prescribed.

🌐 本文件的社会影响

  • Positive impact: Ensures the quality of industrial salt, enhancing the efficiency of industrial production.
  • Negative impact: May increase costs for businesses in complying with packaging, labeling, and transportation requirements.

❓ 常见问题

To whom does the industry standard for industrial salt apply?

This standard applies to industrial salt (NaCl) products used as raw materials for industrial production.

What is the minimum NaCl content in each grade of industrial salt?

In the Superior grade, the NaCl content must not be less than 98% by weight of dry matter; in Grade 1, it must not be less than 96.50%; in Grade 2, it must not be less than 95%.

What is the maximum moisture content of industrial salt?

In the Superior grade, the moisture content must not exceed 5%; in Grade 1, it must not exceed 6%; in Grade 2, it must not exceed 8%.

Are there requirements for packaging and labeling of industrial salt?

Yes, industrial salt can be loose or packed in bags. If packed in bags, labeling must comply with regulations; if loose, a quality confirmation certificate from the producing entity must accompany the product.

How should industrial salt be stored?

Industrial salt should be stored in warehouses or stacked outdoors, ensuring cleanliness, good drainage, and avoiding mixing with other goods or products that could adversely affect its quality.
