Regarding the dissolution of certain organizations established pursuant to
Decisions of the Prime Minister
PRIME MINISTER
Pursuant to the Government Organization Law dated September 30, 1992;
Pursuant to the Government's Plan to implement Resolution No. 207/1999/QĐ-TTg dated October 25, 1999 of the Prime Minister on implementing the Seventh Plenary Session of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam (Term VIII);
Considering the proposals of the Minister of the Government’s Organizational and Cadre Department and the Chairman of the Government Office;
DECISION:
Article 1. Dissolve the following organizations:
The Steering Committee for Socio-Economic Development of Ha Giang Province and Muong Te District, Lai Chau Province, established pursuant to Decision No. 190/TTg dated April 23, 1994 of the Prime Minister.
The Steering Committee for Researching and Improving the Tax Policy System, established pursuant to Decision No. 152/TTg dated March 11, 1995 of the Prime Minister.
The Anti-Corruption and Anti-Smuggling Task Force, established pursuant to Decision No. 35/TTg dated January 19, 1996 of the Prime Minister. Assign the relevant tasks of anti-corruption and anti-smuggling to Ministries, ministerial-level agencies, governmental agencies, provincial people's committees, and municipal people's committees under the central government according to their respective functions and responsibilities.
The National Committee for Simplifying Air Transport Procedures, established pursuant to Decision No. 83/TTg dated February 5, 1996 of the Prime Minister.
The State Steering Committee for the Dung Quat Oil Refinery Project in Quang Ngai Province, established pursuant to Decision No. 749/TTg dated September 11, 1997 of the Prime Minister.
The Steering Committee for Combating Smuggling and Commercial Fraud, established pursuant to Decision No. 966/1997/QĐ-TTg dated November 13, 1997 of the Prime Minister. Assign the relevant tasks of combating smuggling and commercial fraud to Ministries, ministerial-level agencies, governmental agencies, provincial people's committees, and municipal people's committees under the central government according to their respective functions and responsibilities.
The Working Group for State-Owned Enterprise Restructuring in Hanoi City and Ho Chi Minh City, established pursuant to Decision No. 1021/TTg dated December 1, 1997 of the Prime Minister.
The Inter-Ministerial Task Force on ODA, established pursuant to Decision No. 08/QĐ-TTg dated January 19, 1998 of the Prime Minister.
The Steering Committee for the General Population and Housing Census, established pursuant to Decision No. 106/1998/QĐ-TTg dated June 9, 1998 of the Prime Minister.
The Vietnam International Year of Older Persons Committee, established pursuant to Decision No. 121/1998/QĐ-TTg dated July 9, 1998 of the Prime Minister.
The Steering Committee for Implementing New Tax Laws, established pursuant to Decision No. 208/1998/QĐ-TTg dated October 26, 1998 of the Prime Minister.
The Steering Committee for Cooperation with International Financial and Monetary Organizations, established pursuant to Decision No. 217/1998/QĐ-TTg dated November 11, 1998 of the Prime Minister.
The Steering Committee for Addressing the "Year 2000 Problem" in Sectors Using Information Technology, established pursuant to Decision No. 257/1998/QĐ-TTg dated December 31, 1998 of the Prime Minister.
The Steering Committee for Rice and Fertilizer Import and Export Management, established pursuant to Decision No. 20/1999/QĐ-TTg dated February 13, 1999 of the Prime Minister.
The Research Team for Mechanisms and Policies to Develop Small and Medium Enterprises, established pursuant to Decision No. 133/1999/QĐ-TTg dated May 31, 1999 of the Prime Minister.
Article 2. This Decision takes effect fifteen days after the date of signature.
Ministers, heads of ministerial-level agencies, heads of government-affiliated agencies, Chairpersons of provincial and centrally-administered city People's Committees are responsible for implementing this Decision.
