Regarding the dissolution and transfer of tasks of certain organizations established pursuant to Decisions of the Government
PRIME MINISTER
Pursuant to the Government Organization Law dated September 30, 1992;
Pursuant to the Plan of the Government implementing the Resolution of the 7th Plenary Session of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam (8th tenure), issued together with Decision No. 207/1999/QĐ-TTg dated October 25, 1999 of the Prime Minister;
Considering the proposal of the Minister, Head of the Government Organizational and Cadre Affairs Board, and the Minister, Chairman of the Government Office;
DECISION:
Article 1.Dissolve and transfer the tasks of the following organizations:
1. The Steering Committee for Building the "Vision to 2020" established pursuant to Decision No. 27/1999/QĐ-TTg dated February 23, 1999 of the Prime Minister.
2. The National Management Board of the Global Environment Facility of Vietnam established pursuant to Decision No. 07/TTg dated January 3, 1997 of the Prime Minister.
3. The State Steering Committee on Ammonia Gas Production Project established pursuant to Decision No. 555/TTg dated July 17, 1997 of the Prime Minister.
4. The Steering Committee for Economic and Social Development in the Northwest Region established pursuant to Decision No. 734/TTg dated October 4, 1996 of the Prime Minister.
5. The Steering Committee for Water Resources Development and Rural Construction in the Mekong Delta Region established pursuant to Decision No. 735/TTg dated October 4, 1996 of the Prime Minister.
6. The National Council on Food Security established pursuant to Decision No. 498/TTg dated July 7, 1997 of the Prime Minister.
7. The Central Steering Committee for Fire Prevention and Fighting Forest Fires established pursuant to Decision No. 86/1998/QĐ-TTg dated April 21, 1998 of the Prime Minister.

Article 2.Assign the relevant Ministries and agencies to perform the tasks of the organizations mentioned in Article 1 of this Decision as follows:
1. The Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment shall perform the tasks of the organizations mentioned in Clauses 1 and 2 of Article 1.
2. The Ministry of Industry shall perform the task of the organization mentioned in Clause 3 of Article 1.
3. The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development shall perform the tasks of the organizations mentioned in Clauses 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 of Article 1.
4. The Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs shall perform the tasks of the organizations mentioned in Clauses 9, 10, and 11 of Article 1.
5. The Ministry of Education and Training shall perform the task of the organization mentioned in Clause 12 of Article 1.
6. The Ministry of Justice shall perform the tasks of the organizations mentioned in Clause 13 of Article 1.
7. The Ministry of Construction shall perform the tasks of the organizations mentioned in Clauses 14, 15, and 16 of Article 1.
8. The Ministry of Transport shall perform the task of the organization mentioned in Clause 17 of Article 1.
9. The Ministry of Public Security shall perform the task of the organization mentioned in Clause 18 of Article 1.
10. The Ministry of Fisheries shall perform the task of the organization mentioned in Clause 19 of Article 1.
11. The State Bank of Vietnam shall perform the task of the organization mentioned in Clause 20 of Article 1.
12. The Government Organizational and Cadre Affairs Board shall perform the task of the organization mentioned in Clause 21 of Article 1.
13. The General Department of Customs shall perform the task of the organization mentioned in Clause 22 of Article 1.
Article 3.This Decision shall take effect fifteen days from the date of signature.
The Ministers, Heads of ministerial-level agencies, Heads of government agencies, Chairmen of provincial People's Committees under the central government are responsible for implementing this Decision.
