DECISION OF THE MINISTER OF HEALTH

Regarding the implementation of the principle of "Good Laboratory Practice for Pharmaceutical Testing"”

THE MINISTER OF HEALTH

Pursuant to the Law on Health Care for the People issued on July 11, 1989 and the Drug Regulations for Prevention and Treatment issued together with Decree No. 23/HĐBT dated January 24, 1991 of the Council of Ministers (now the Government);

Pursuant to Ordinance No. 18/1999/PL-UBTVQH10 on Product Quality issued on December 24, 1999 by the Standing Committee of the National Assembly;

Pursuant to Ordinance No. 16/1999/PL-UBTVQH10 on Measurement issued on October 6, 1999 by the Standing Committee of the National Assembly;

Pursuant to Decree No. 68/CP dated October 11, 1993 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Health;

Pursuant to Decree No. 86/CP dated December 8, 1995 of the Government stipulating the division of responsibilities for state management of product quality;

Considering the proposal of the Director of the Vietnam Drug Administration Bureau,

DECISION:

Article 1. Implement the principle of "Good Laboratory Practice for Pharmaceutical Testing" attached to this Decision at all pharmaceutical testing units.

Article 2. This Decision shall take effect fifteen days from the date of issuance.

Article 3. The Director of the Vietnam Drug Administration Bureau shall be responsible for guiding, inspecting, and monitoring the implementation of the principle of "Good Laboratory Practice for Pharmaceutical Testing".

Article 4. The Heads of the Office, Inspectorate of the Ministry of Health, Director of the Vietnam Drug Administration Bureau, Directors of the Testing Institute, Heads of subordinate units under the Ministry, Provincial Health Service Directors, and Health Services of relevant sectors are responsible for enforcing this Decision.
