Issuing the Statistical Indicators System for the Natural Resources and Environment Sector

Pursuant to the Law on Statistics dated June 26, 2003;
Pursuant to the Decree No. 40/2004/NĐ-CP dated February 13, 2004 of the Government detailing and guiding the implementation of certain provisions of the Law on Statistics;
Pursuant to Decision No. 43/2010/QĐ-TTg dated June 2, 2010 of the Prime Minister on the issuance of the National Statistical Indicators System;
Pursuant to Decree No. 21/2013/NĐ-CP dated March 4, 2013, promulgated by the Government, stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment;
AT THE SUGGESTION OF the Director of the Planning Department and the Director of the Legal Department;
The Minister of Natural Resources and Environment issues this Circular to issue the Statistical Indicators System for the Natural Resources and Environment Sector,
Article 1. This Circular attaches the Statistical Indicators System for the Natural Resources and Environment Sector.
The Statistical Indicators System for the Natural Resources and Environment Sector is a collection of statistical indicators reflecting the situation of the natural resources and environment sector, to collect statistical information serving management work of state agencies in evaluating, forecasting, formulating strategies and policies, developing plans for national socio-economic development and for the natural resources and environment sector during each period; meeting the need for statistical information for organizations and individuals requiring information on areas such as land; water resources; mineral resources and geology; environment; meteorology and hydrology; climate change; surveying and mapping; comprehensive and unified management of the sea and islands.
Article 2. This Circular takes effect from November 25, 2013 and replaces Decision No. 18/2007/QĐ-BTNMT dated November 5, 2007 of the Minister of Natural Resources and Environment on issuing the Statistical Indicators System for the Natural Resources and Environment Sector.
Article 3. The Minister, Heads of Ministries equivalent to Ministries, Agencies under the Government, Chairpersons of People's Committees of provinces and centrally governed cities, Heads of units under the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, and related organizations and individuals are responsible for implementing this Circular.
