CIRCULAR

Regarding the issuance of three national technical standards for railways

Pursuant to the Law on Standards and Technical Regulations dated June 29, 2006;

Based on Decree No. 132/2008/NĐ-CP dated December 31, 2008 of the Government detailing implementation of certain provisions

Pursuant to Decree No. 51/2008/NĐ-CP dated April 22, 2008 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Transport;

Considering the proposal of the Director of the Department of Science and Technology and the Director of the Railway Administration of Vietnam;

The Minister of Transport hereby promulgates:

Article 1. Issued along with this Circular are the following three national technical standards for railways:

1. National technical standard on railway signaling with code: QCVN 06 : 2011/BGTVT

2. National technical standard on train operation and railway shunting work with code: QCVN 07 : 2011/BGTVT

3. National technical standard on railway operation with code: QCVN 08 : 2011/BGTVT

Article 2. This Circular shall take effect six months from the date of signature; it abolishes the following Decisions of the Minister of Transport:

- Decision No. 74/2005/QĐ-BGTVT dated December 30, 2005 on the issuance of the industry standard "Railway Signaling Procedures" - Registration number: 22TCN 341-05; - Decision No. 75/2005/QĐ-BGTVT dated December 30, 2005 on the issuance of the industry standard "Train Operation and Railway Shunting Procedures" - Registration number: 22TCN 342-05; - Decision No. 76/2005/QĐ-BGTVT dated December 30, 2005 on the issuance of the industry standard "Railway Operation Technical Regulations" - Registration number: 22TCN 340-05.

Article 3. The Heads of the Ministry's Office, the Inspectorate, the Departments, the Director of the Railway Administration of Vietnam, the Vietnam Railway Corporation, the Heads of agencies, organizations, and individuals concerned are responsible for implementing this Circular.
